    Hi Guys,

I have some customers wanting an Engine Bolt kit for there 350 like I offer for the 455.

The problem is I don't have one here to use as a guide so hoping you guys can help me out here.

    On the Buick 350 motors:

How many 1/4" Water Pump Bolts are there ?

How many 5/16" Timing Cover Bolts are used on the 350 ? Length ?

Are the Intake Bolts 3/8" Diameter OR 7/16" Diameter. (I'm assuming 3/8")

Intake Bolt Length ? Qty of 12 ?

    Crank Pulley 6 Bolts ? 5/16" x 3/4" correct size ?

That should do it for now!

Thanks in advance for all the responses!!

    Water Pump Bolts
    QTY 7 1/4-20 x 1" long

    Timing Cover Bolts
    Qty 3 5/16-18 x 4-3/8" long
    Qty 1 5/16-18 x 5-1/8" long
    Qty 2 5/16-18 x 2" long
Qty 1 5/16-18 x 1-3/8" long (for the alt bracket)

    Intake
    Qty 4 3/8-16 x 1-3/8" long
    Qty 8 3/8-16 x 2-1/8" long

    Crank pulley
    Qty 6 5/16-18 x 3/4" long

These measurements were from bolts on a 1974 engine. They look to be the same on a 1971 and a 1978
I can provide pictures of any of these, if it helps you locate the proper ones.

    On the 455 Motors, 1970 & 71 required a 1.5" length Intake Bolt.

1972 and newer some of those bolts are longer because of the Emissions that went into effect which affected the re-design of the Intake Manifold.
This requires me to send 2) different length bolts for customers that are using a 1972 or newer Manifold.

Does anyone know if this same thing happened to the 350 Intake Manifolds?

I would need to know what year Intake changed in order to provide the correct length bolts.

Any info shed on this would be appreciated.

I'm assuming the change would have been around 1972 as it was on the 455's.

    Thanks again . . . .

    Happy to help Todd.

The '74 that I pulled a few intake bolts out of has the factory CI intake.
The '71 has a TA dual plane on it and it looks like they are factory bolts. I did not pull any of these to measure.

in 72 you could have had air injection or not. I've never determined a break point or how they determined which got the A.I.R.
