Found a new 10 bolt 8.5" 28 spline Eaton style posi unit on Ebay for $279. In the auction the part brand says it's a QP. Has anyone dealt with Quick Performance for posi units and master bearing kits? Looking for a good posi unit to back my 500+HP 455 (TA estimated). To be installed in a '72 Skylark 10 bolt 8.5" 3.42 rear end. Thanks

I have used several position and rear kits for them.

I always call directly. Seem very knownledgable on their products and many different rear axles

It’s a Yukon unit in a plain box. Unless it is a serious street-strip application,it will be fine.

So I talked with the EBay seller. It's a knock off Yukon/Eaton unit. He said it has a 1 year warranty just like Eaton or Yukon. He claims to have sold alot of them without any complaints. For $20 more he will install the Yukon Dura-Grip set up. I think i will try it.

for 20 more he will install the yukon set-up...LOL. That is a scam... They are YUKON dura grips...HE can not sell them by name just like me or he will get in trouble from YUKON...they have a MAP pricing set-up for sales That is the whole reason we have to call them eaton type units etc. once we start calling them by brand name we could loos our quantity buying power through Randys. SO as long as they do not call it a YUKON they can sell it at what ever price they want.

Buy the lesser price as it is the same as yukon...they are not going to do anything but put it in a YUKON box instead of a generic box. ...

    what a scam.....

In my opinion they should not be able to sell them that low and flood the market...BUT is the USA and we are money grubbing monsters here. :)

I guess those are quality? I'm kinda in the market for a limited slip and haven't been able to score a used one. This one looks pretty tempting.

Some Koyo have USA on them, but most have Japan. They should be fine. I still use Timken for everything. They cost a little more, but I still like the finish on the rollers and overall quality better
