Thanks for the kudos and I wish you didn't write that in the bold to me! It may have jinxed me? :Dou: LOL

I get the Blazer on the road and she starts and runs like a champ, BUT because of a dry rotted valve stem I got a flat tire, I fill it and on my way to Bell Tire to get it fixed it doesn't hold the air long engough. I stop to look at the tire and the tire is effed up beyond repair so I continue to drive roughly, loudly and bouncingly to Bell Tire to try to buy a new tire and have the other 3 valve stems replaced. I get there and they get one of the tires off of the 4 tires I bought from them about 8 years ago and say the tires are 17 years old so they can't work on them because they're over 10 years old! :af: And are reluctant to sell just one tire of the same size because the Blazer is 4 wheel drive(that's not working at the moment) and they're afraid they will hurt the NP 203 cast iron transfer case because it may be slightly off from the other tires! Anyway the guy that was telling me this that I wanted to punch in the face, I asked if I could at least buy valve stems from them so I could install them myself, surprisingly gave me 4 of them no charge. :eek2: I managed to get a ride to my house because of coarse they didn't have any 32X11.50R15 tires in stock to sell me so I went and got a 31X10.50R15 tire and wheel in the garage to put on the Blazer and finally I'm back down the road!

That isn't where it ends either, a few days later brings us to Saturday early in the morning the furnace in my house stops working! :ball: Thankfully it hasn't been to cold and I have a space heater for my bedroom so I haven't suffered to much but this weekend winter will be back and from the looks of it will be here to stay for a while!

On a good note though I bought a new to me car for $1,000(a friend of mine is accepting payments), a 2002 Sunfire with just under 87,000 miles on it that is very solid for a 2002 Michigan car. Just can't figure out HOW the flock the previous owners scratched just about every body panel up?! But looks a whole lot better than the rusted out Sable even though its a little 4 cylinder 4 door turd car.

Another good note is that the guy that wants the Sable is supposed to get his taxes back tomorrow so I should get paid for the $400 he agreed to pay for the Sable for the trans. That will allow me to pay all of my property taxes(instead of being a couple hundred shy) for MY house before March 1st so they're not "delinquent" according to "my" city and don't go to the county to be collected!(remind me not to loan people any $$ again)

Hoping that the furnace that stopped working is the bottom  but am not going to declare it as of yet. LOL Going to try to replace the igniter and the control box, the 2 things that have failed in the past to see if that will fix it. Probably won't because the first time it was an igniter so when it went down again I replaced the igniter and still nothing! So I had to call the guy and the control box got replaced and it has worked until now so probably something else wrong with my luck!). If not I'll have to get the fire place going until the weather starts cooperating because I was planning on replacing it this summer anyway so I don't want to put to much $$ in it.

Hope everyone else's 2017 is going MUCH better than mine! Thanks for reading.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I know this is of no comfort, Derek, but most of us have been through times like that. Nothing seems to go right and most everyone and everything seems to be piling on. There is always an end to it all when things start falling into place and get better. How long it takes can vary greatly. The feeling after survival is great. These times also separate real friends from the "good time charlies". Cherish the real ones. Ditch the charlies.

Thanks Jerry, yeah I know most people have lows and I don't want anyone's pity, I just wanted to vent a little and hope people that read this appreciate not being in one of these lows. :TU:

Things are looking up, the new to me car is getting me where I need to go and should work to drive my mom to her Dr.'s appointments. Going to go to the furnace store today after I'm done here to see if in I can make this turd of a furnace work again.(fingers crossed)

I'm hoping that is light at the end of the tunnel I'm seeing with the end of this horrible month! Here's wishing everyone is doing better than me so far this year. :TU:

if it hasn't been done you should probably remove the nozzle & clean it along with the filter/cone on the end. They can/do get fouled up from the oil & ignition. Did you try the re-set button???

Thanks Tom, but it was the igniter(natural gas heat) that went bad, got a new one in and I have house heat again! :TU:

I also got paid in full for the Sable today as well! And in my Trading account I was able to sell some stock for a profit(a whole $148 more than I paid) yesterday and just seen it today! It was the best day of the year so far today, if they all could be this good!? So now instead of being a bit short for the property taxes I have a little extra, woo hoo!

And, I also got to help a friend put a new gas tank in and get a Buick V6 in a '71 or '72 C-5 Jeep running! The most fun I have had all year!!! :TU:
