Can anyone recommend a reliable supplier on charging port adapters going from R12 to R134, preferable on ebay?

I purchased a kit from China that didnt fit on my 73 and dont want to do the same mistake twice.

I left my charge ports original. Took my older r12 gauges and adapted it to use 134a.
I do not recommend this, but I use 134a in my old system. works fine for the last 4 years.
All the old components are still used.
You can change all the components to 134a, and get someone to adapt 134a gauges to accept the older ports.
You need one set r12 gauges, and one set of new 134a gauges.

I plan to do like you and just fill up the original R12 system with R134a and accurate oil.

It was either that or to do the complete 134-conversion that was recommended to me.

If the guy thats gone help me fill up the system has the accurate R12-R134 adapter to hook on to his equipment, I guess I do not need to install any port-adapters.

One benefit with the port-adapters is to show whats in the system, on the other hand they might cause leaks I guess?

I bought the adapter and decided that they might ruin the old ports and leak. then I would have had to change the hoses.
So I used 134a in the old system and it has worked so far. I've worked on ac since the early 70s. Ive gone thru all the changes.
The auto suppliers said it would not work but they want to sell new equip. Ive done this several times before. Once for a friend
7 years ago. He's passed, and I know that his is still working
Let me know if it works for you
