Hmm after a bit more research it seems U.S. Radiator only offers a one year warranty.

Other brands a lifetime....Cheaper(Lifetime), more expensive(One year) perhaps the U.S. quality is superior.

    Oh first world problems:p!

copper is better at cooling than aluminum, the problem with making core tubes bigger than 5/8" is keeping the tube stable. the aluminum does not have this issue. the more rows you have the less air flow you end up with.

call and talk to all the companies you are looking at and listen to what each tells you why theirs is better and make your own mind up

Mine came down to air flow through the core. Truck ran cool at speed but as soon as you would slow or stop the temps would shoot up. I could resolve this by raising the hood (when not moving) but the 4 core started leaking and was about 25 years old. It cost nearly as much to recore as to buy the new Griffin. Easy choice for me.

I went with the TA "direct fit" radiator (which was indeed a direct fit). My 350 Skylark came with a crappy universal $90 radiator from AutoZone which performed very poorly in the AZ heat (250° at stoplight with AC on). The TA unit is custom made by Ron Davis radiators and is very well made and not cheap at $760. I knew a 455 coming in the near future so I only wanted to buy a radiator once. Around the SW, Ron Davis radiators are well known and found in a lot of custom sand rails, rock crawlers, etc.
