How many of you have a '68 - '69 Skylark/GS car that has the rear wheelhouse radiused? If so, can you post up a picture or two?

I really like the way this one was done, as it matches the factory front fender lip to some degree.

I think the best bet at having it work is to mirror the front wheel arch and lip (like the third photo). They all remind me of a Cougar; I wonder if the designers of both the Buick and the Mercury struggled with it?

I could start liking them a whole bunch more like that! But,the 68-69 are the best looking cars back halfed of all.

I was at a guys house buying some parts off of him and he showed me some back in the day pictures of one he had done like this. Not normally one to "customize", I fluffed it off, but the more I thought about what I had seen, the more I liked it. He's a member on here. Perhaps he will share?

    Here's another one

Thanks for sharing. I have never seen one in person or a picture till tonight. I wouldn't do it to one of my current cars but that would eliminate some of the rusted areas on a few cars I parted out in the past. Some of these looked to be done well.

I like it, and Patrick is right. Mirroring the front wheel arch shape is the way to do it.

You can do a Tiawana flare. My 68 GP pontiac had those. 3 or 4 cuts above the tire Bend it out. Slap bondo on it.
