Rear Coil Air Bags

So who's the best source for 2 air bags. I think I got mine from summit.

My neighbor bought a nice set of American Racing 17x8 and 16x8's from a buddy of mine. Cheap $400 with 2 G-Force rear and TA Radials on the front. Problem is, they go to far into the quater and I believe they will rub, so I suggested air bags to stiffen up the rear, and i'm trying to find them as inexpensive as possible. He's got a baby and mortage and so on'

I see them used on ebay cheap sometimes. I will keep an eye out for you.

Yes, my employer is a Firestone Coil-Rite distributor, and I've sold quite a few kits to members here, below Summit pricing, and a lot cheaper shipping.

Joe, what car/year does he have? Firestone is currently having supply issues with the 67-72 GS/Skylark rear air bag kits, and I've been waiting a few weeks for my last order. Is that what he'd need? Let me know and I'll quote you a price. BTW, it "appears" that Summit may have them in current inventory, by their online info anyway.

 

I guess my brain works better than I thought. I got mine from David and they have been trouble free. And a really good price.

Ok, the GTO's use the same rear kit that our Buicks use, and are currently on backorder from Firestone, though Summit may have stock. After a recent price increase, I can sell this kit at $69 + actual UPS fees, but don't have any in stock right now. I think Summit is $75.95 + $10? handling. Their part # is FIP-4113 if you want to check with them. I'm afraid Firestone is not able to give me an expected delivery date right now.

I run a set pullled out of a station wagon in the bone yard. Alot more heavy duty then the basic air lift set up. Maybe try JCwhittney ect? JKaz

 

I don't actually stock them, Joe. I place all orders to ship direct from Firestone to the customer. However, Firestone STILL does not have these available. NO expected shipping dates are available. I've had one set on order since September. THEY are even telling me to steer customers to either Summit or even to a competitor. I'd take their advice if I were you, sorry.

 

I noticed Summit is out of stock. But they have a comparably priced alternative, Air Lift 60744. FYI

Yeah, if Summit is out of Firestone kits, you'd best look at other mfgrs.

 

Summit actually shows a Jan 2nd expected ship date for the Firestone kit.

 

Well I orderd them today and they not only had this set in stock but it's being shipped out this earlier this afternoon.

Cool right? Well my neighbor will be surprised when he opens them on christmas morning!! His wife asked me to get them for her. She is so excited to give them to him.

I will post a picture of his car when we get them installed and can pull it out.
