Rear control arm bushings won't stay in

I am installing rear control arm bushings in my 72 Skylark. I have pressed in the outer metal shell. The polyurethane part presses in but after a few seconds they slide back out a bit. All the threads I have seen said to grease them so i did. The inner sleeves slide in by hand. I bought the correct bushing from Summit.... any ideas on how to make them stay in?

Why does it matter? Once bolted in, where can it go?

Yeah, thanks.... that's what I thought but not sure if there will be any play once installed. Nothing I can do so just wanted to get thoughts on if others have had the same thing.

Honestly, I would never use polyurethane suspension bushings. They will inevitably squeak, and give you a harsher ride. Sway bar bushings and end links, yes, but not suspension bushings.

I agree, I like the polygraphite bushing WAY better. They are graphite impregnated polyurethane that is not quite as stiff and are WAY quieter than the plain polyurethane bushings and are made by PST.(the polygraphite ones)
