Hey guys- my 1972 buick skylark tail lights dont seem to be working. I have hazards, turn, and brake lights just no rear lights when the head lamps are on. I also have no dash bezel lights (they don't glow when headlights are on)

any insight where I should start? They seemed to be working the other day.

There is a tail light fuse and a gauge light fuse. Id start there. Make sure you test the fuses. Sometimes they look good but are really bad.

Ok replaced fuse and nothing. I pulled the whole dash apart again since I had that off last week and everything is connected. I am wondering if a ground or something came loose while I was replacing the dash lens and steering wheel. Does anyone of a 72 skylark wiring diagram? the previous owner has a lot of things unplugged so its hard for me to know if something came unplugged vs it was already that way. Example car had AC and no longer has AC so thats all un plugged, original radio is gone, buzzer is unplugged etc.

A wiring diagram would be great. I found a pink female end floating in there behind the clock (which now has a aftermarket sun pro tach) wondering if that should have something in it. The pink female wire is original on the harness

Just wanted to close the loop on this for those viewing. I fixed it and it was a bad connection to the back of the speedo. Once I grounded the loose wire from the harness they all started working.

Thank You for the last post. Too many folks find the fix and never come back to share the information. As an aside, there are also 2 ground wires at the back bumper that can be suspect as well. my tail lights used to blink on and off in unison as the ground wires opened and closed the circuit.
