Does the speaker grill mount over or under the the black vinyl well?

Marc, the speaker grill mounts over the well liner. The speaker mounts with special hardware against the seat back. everything has to be right so when the top folds, nothing gets damaged.

When I owned convertibles I never wanted to cut the well liner. What if you screw up? I know Frank is right but it doesn’t matter one bit in sound quality if you don’t put in the grill. With top down you can’t even hear the damn thing anyway.

You really should get speakers like these for your convertible. These are audible with the top down: 15 seconds in

Does anybody have pictures of this, been looking for one for wiring, grounding etc and never seem to locate one.

There is a short special ground wire with 2 different size terminals that attaches on the inside of the seat back panel. Special grille used to be HTF, but is now re'proed. Special weird hardware is repro'ed.

I found the grill and the hardware on the Parts Place.
