Rear upper control arms

    A0C2E708-E5EA-4FA2-B685-248FDF5E27CA.png Thinking about welding plates on the uppers like the Motion car. I’m sure the old school guys on the board have done this years ago

    They are weak . And I don’t want the GOOD after market ones on the car.

    I can't imagine they would be worse than bone stock. The ones I have on my car now have a reinforced differential eye hole. I wallowed one out in my youth by excessively barking 2nd gear. Put some good bushings in those and I'd image they would be fine.

    That's an old racing trick, stiffens the rear up a bit.
    Another racing trick is to bolt every body mount in, like they did on the W30 & W31 cars. It makes the whole car stiffer and stops some of the twist.

    I thought the Buick’s used all the body mount locations.

    Like the convertible ( mounts) !

    If you look under the sides of the body,there are a few locations where a blank rubber mount was used,without a bolt,but the floor of the body had a tapped boss. I use the bolt-in style mounts on all of these,just as the convertibles did.
