Removing valve cover on 72 350 with AC

    The compressor is in the car still will I need to love it to get the valve cover off? Looks like it to me.

    Just remove the top triangular plate.

    had a 72 350 w/ac and a 70 stg1 w/ac. the 455 was a lot easier to tune up than the 350 in all respects

    Remove triangular bracket as Larry said, then loosen compressor to remove the belt and you should be able to pivot the compressor towards the fender a bit more for easier access.
    Also may want to disconnect the battery as the positive terminal on the alternator is pretty close when lifting the valve cover, the cover MAY hit it and you'll see sparks:eek::eek::eek:

    That's cause the 350 is so much more muscular than the 455:D:D:D:D:D
