    Hi
Just joined and want to know if someone has done this repair.
I'm working on a 69 Skylark and the release bar parts are missing from the horseshoe handle. The handle is not broken but using Google I can't find a complete replacement part.
Can find handle assemblies for Chevy and was thinking of getting one to use for the parts I need for my handle.
    Any thoughts/help on this?
    Thanks

If do not recall if 69 and 70-72 are the same for this part. If they are the same, yes, they are remade. I may have a NOS one if they are the same.

From what I came up with is 70-72 stand alone vs 69. Measurements would help a great deal between Buick vs Buick and Buick vs Chevy. If the Chevy handle was the same total length as the Buick (69) I could make a bracket at the bottom of the shift mechanism and bolt the Chevy handle to it.

    Update:
Bought a console shifter for a 68-69 Chevelle
Everything is the same up to where the shift cable goes. Had to drill two holes for the front part of the bracket.
Shifter horseshoe clears console hole and indicator plate.

Contact the Parts Place in Dekalb, Ill. 800-442-0411. I purchased a rebuild kit for my 71' skylark shifter from them.

Thanks for the info, but to late. It really would have helped before I bought the Chevelle shifter.
