Terry- parts are beautiful! I have had several sets of NOS 400 marker lights and that's exactly how they looked- bright silver/ "chrome" paint. It appeared the originals used some type of roller to apply the silver paint. Anyway, they all look fantastic! Looking forward to the completed project. Please take close up pics of the smaller detailed items - like your pics of the dashpot(s). Nice work, Terry!

Some updates, car is moving along...finally

NOS Wheel well molding, Fronts and Rears were polished up and installed, I had to literally take deep breaths and take anxiety pills when drilling into that new quarter panel but I did not mess anything up..

I used Jason's locksmith guy Walt in Georgia to get all the locks done for the car. Sent him my parts and information and had them back in couple weeks. I used the original key codes for the car. I used a NOS ignition which meant I had to also use a NOS lock cylinder for him to re-key it to the correct key codes. Believe it or not I even had a NOS Anti-Rattle washer for the ignition, but everything was great. Even had the correct style dust shutters and keys for the locks.

    Walt did a great job..

Picked up a NOS washer bottle from Gene, Thanks Gene and installed it with a correct NOS cap, check out the differences with the Part Place reproduction bottle, the lid was super loose on it. Parts Place bottle on right.

Chrome metal for the 400 rear marker lights...where do I get that? Is it brush on or spray? Any pictures of the container it comes in or who makes it?

Its not a brush or spray, it's actually a foil sheet, that needs applied and formed/cut. See they have a new improved chrome out now but here is a pic, E-Bay or a hobby store should have something similar.

Installed the Positive Battery cable block/bracket, this was fun.

Note to self for next time...
Install bracket to motor w/block and wire harness before putting into frame...if not
Install cable/block into bracket with wiring harness before putting on motor...

Took this on and off 3 times without a lift lying on floor.

Some of Duane's decals applied in rear of car before putting in gas tank, easier that climbing under it.

Yes, the reproductions are straight. When I talked to Jason he mentioned he did it for what he had done so I asked and he said he thought he had a few left and said he could do it. He must take them apart and install them or he has OEM assembly's lying around, not sure but he does a nice job.

Started the engine harness wiring installed the ground, voltage regulator and capacitor. They are all NOS parts the voltage regulator is correctly date coded 9C and was just taken out of the box, the ground is the correct part number (I put a comparison pic below to a reproduction strap) and the capacitor even has the correct galvanized bracket, newer ones are usually plated or painted.

Comparison to reproduction..I am sure they make better ones though, one I had was terrible.

If you are wondering where the carb is, I sent it back out to get re-plated as the was some corrosion on the outer body that I did not like, should be done soon.
