I don't know why everything you post has to be Confrontational and Sarcastic . At least I didn't spell your name ERIC .
I hadn't thought of that one, Tom. I watched a few episodes when it first started, but the fake drama was so ridiculous that I just couldn't stand it.
I like the show for entertainment value, wouldn’t say it always feeds my needs as a muscle car guy. I did like the episode where he found firebird 1&2. He also did a Riveria build a while back. My first thought was damnit he is going to put a Chevy in it. Much to my surprise they said they sent the motor off (didn’t mention or show their normal engine rebuilding guy) and when it came back it was red and I saw some TA goodies on it. I have also eaten at one of his restaurants at the airport while TAD, food was alright but the drinks were pretty good.
Just watched the episode of Gas Monkey rehab garage featuring Warrior Garage. Richard may have some moments that clash with many, but he was a stand up class act in what he did for Warrior Garage. You'll always have people who scorn at those who have excess and resent it for one reason or another. I don't resent it at all. Also there's no such thing as "reality" TV like you inferred. As soon as you add a camera it's all BS. I stopped after the first "reality" tv show. I have my own life to live, you know? Why do I need to see someone else's fake reality? I got things to do.
Its Both Erik according to each individuals opinion . I guess you don't see the HUMOR in it . DICK is short for Richard here in the States . But since you don't want to Participate I don't see why you are concerned .
What I said, was how it needs to play out in order to be profitable. I did not infer it being real, hence the quote marks. I believe you misunderstood my post, as I pretty much said the same thing as you, just a whole bunch of other words. (sometimes things I write make perfect sense in my head, but that does not mean they make sense to anyone else) And I have never seen this guy in anything, nor know anything of him, except a few minutes of a couple of videos and read on some of his background to educate myself of who he was, before making a post. That said, I'm not a "fan", nor defending him. Only stating that if one has done remarkable things, an amount of arrogance is expected and acceptable, although a majority of those who have excelled are nonetheless very humble folks.
Can we agree at least on one show?? If you can put up with Mark on Graveyard carz, it's the one to watch even if your not a pure Mopar guy. Tons of details and facts and the work is top notch but yes top notch high end money like expected. It's the one show I can watch form start to finish without wanting to throw brick through my TV. I also noticed Mark has calmed down a bit on the last 2 episodes.
Went to Sema 14 yrs. ago. Boyd Carrington Had a Mustang there that was on the show start to finish. When i walked up on the car . The deck lid had a big chunk of mud broken off. Somebody delivering car. Really made a Boo Boo. But **** happens . But observing car closer. The work was terrible. And horrendous. So i get it . It’s TV. Fake News.
I dig "full custom garage" -- no stupid made-up arguments, guy aint stuck on himself, no stupid shtick other than him having a dog (and I don't mind that at all.) Could be wrong -- maybe other episodes do feature that stuff -- dunno.
I too like some of "full custom garage". I have to think there is a big crew someplace off camera block sanding and prepping. But no drama.
The Andy Griffith Show was good, Wally’s fillin’ Station with Goober preceded all these reality shows
Dislike because he is fake, he was on Chip Foose's show for a bit then broke away - so he learned from Chip. If he, himself, were "authentic" on the show then maybe...but I don't care for what he does or the show.
I like the "all girls garage". They wear entirely too much clothing however. Imagine if they were all wearing some skimpy lingerie and covered in axle grease? They never get dirty anyway. I know.. They could clean your "fuel injectors". I'm bad..
