Thank you partsman, such a list would surely help me on my local search. We have such a nice climate that a 10 year old door is already hard to find. And the few junkyards we have here ... a) don't have much and b) if they have anything it's going the price of pure gold.

I have found a donor car : the green one on my web space: www.depoitten.com
but the doors -window frames- are rusted beyond repair

    Let's make it a car then ...
A '77 '78 Riviera is not an expensive car (I think!). Doesn't have to have the anniversary colors. I'd like it to be a 403 like my original one. And in a very good condition on top of that.
Hopefully we have found doors and carpets by that time, so it can be shipped all to me in a 20' container.
The person who finds it for me, i personally bring him/her a collection of our word famous Belgian Beers!
How much would such a car cost? 3.000 to 5.000 USD? More or less ..

:idea2: --- Maybe Boyd Coddington, Chip Foose or Barry White can build me one for $5.000 ---

Lets keep on dreaming and seaching for doors.

A very Big thank you to all for the help so far!

    Tony

Here i come with another update: Still nothing found!
I bought every magazine i could get my hands on and called everybody that advertised. So i've been calling Belgium,Holland, and some in Germany and France.
A few people had a door or 2, but always in bad condition.
I hope I can pay my telephone bill ...

Anyway, the doors for my buicky will have to come from the USA.

I can not get stranded here!
The rest of my car is ok now: had my TH400 rebuild, 4 new brake calipers and disks, new exhaust, new windshield (cost 680 = 1100$ here :dollar: ).After al that i found out that the floor on the passenger side was gone, so I had that repaired.

This weekend i washed her (Yep - its a she) and found out why the floor pan was wasted away: when rinsing the windshield water poured into the car, behind the glove box.
This seems to be a weak place for all Riviera's. I am removing the dashboard now and hope to find the problem.

And when that is fixed, all i need are doors ...

    So far ...
Greetz to all and thank you all for all the help.

    Tony

PS. Can somebody give me some more info on where to get such a interchange manual?

I believe your going to find that your problem is under the hood where it is caulked. Those area dry up and crack as you will se once you open the hood. So just recaulk all seams under the hood area and cowl.

    Common problem.

I'm still looking for your doors.

Hey Tony, We have over 4,000 cars on our yard, all between the 60s to the 80s. Ken is correct regarding the interchange. It says basically the same in Hollander. We don't have that many Rivis, probably only 15 or so (...as opposed to 350 Cutlasses...LOL!!), but we are in Georgia where the nearest body of salt water is more than 250 miles away, so rust isn't much of an issue. If you still need the doors email me and we can discuss your doors. I will send pics and price. We have shipped to the Netherlands, Sweden and Finland, so we are familiar with the crating process and paperwork. I am fairly new to this site, but you can check my feedback rating on ebay under my screen name: kburwell63 and on the "Good Guys" board on almost any g-body site (Oldspower, Maliburacing, Montecarlo City, etc). We've been around since 1981 and started "calling" it a business (...and I use the term loosely...LOL!) in 1989. We aren't open to the public as we are waaaay too lazy to run a full scale yard, we probably would be fined all the time by the EPA and code enforcement cops and I just refuse to pay 15K a year in liability insurance to allow people to "walk" our yard (...plus it would interfere with Corona Time...LOL!!) We are not a big company, just 4 semi-retired(kids in college...so I can't retire) jarheads that started collecting cars in 1981 originally to keep the wives from yapping about "you're spend the kid's college tuition on your darn toys". ...well 26 years later, we have a bunch of car spread over 118 acres.

    Gentlemen, and Ladies,

my sincere apologies for my absence! And again i'll only be back for 4 days. Serious complications after back surgery keep me in the f***ing hospital.
I still am in desperate need for the doors!
Thanks to all you people for advice and search!

@kburwell: shipping to Antwerp is the same as Rotterdam, they're only 100 miles apart. I'll send you a PM and if you answer with your phone number I call you later today.

    THANK YOU ALL!!!

There is an entire 78 Riv here in Iowa for sale. It belongs to a freind, a snow plow hit it in the rear and the insurance totaled the car. It could be bought very reasonable. The car used to be mine. 403 engine, silver with black top and black interior.
If interested let me know and I will call them for you.
