Ted, I have an AFB that I'm gonna stick on it and come. Been using it on the street so it's aleady dialed in. Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll be calling those people.
Corsello Clan checking in... Just got car out of storage Saturday. Going through all and seems OK (I hope).... More trouble with the tow rig than anything, but I think I finally have that sorted out. See you there... Rich C.
So I am not the only one who has had tow vehicle issues! Take it from me - DO NOT have NTB do a complete brake job. While they did do a good job of fabricating new brake lines they did not have the knowledge, the Tech 2 scan tool, or both, to properly bleed the brakes! A trip to the dealer (with another $500 bill) fixed that; then it took NTB over a month to credit me that bill - but I eventually did get it paid for. GP exhaust system kit (just head pipes and tail pipes) from Ram Air Restorations, ordered over a month ago, should be done TODAY! :af: Dropping GP off at a Meineke by my house (they are a decent place), with the new Dynomax Super Turbos, tonight, hopefully! If the job goes well GP is picked up tomorrow and loaded up on Thursday. Other than a change in plugs, fueling up, air up the tires and setting timing I'm actually good to go! (Washing?!? Detaling?!? That's for those nice-paint cars!) Oh - more importantly - car has new u-joints, rebalanced drive shaft and new upper control arm bushings. It at least drives better! Now I shouldn't have to test the structural integrity of the shaft hoop!
Good luck with ram air restorations. I waited 3 months for him to get me the correct mufflers after he sent me the wrong ones. He obviously doesn't care to much about customer service. I forgot about him and went somewhere else to get my mufflers. I will not do business with him again. Looks good for me to make it to the race. I will be on call. If I'm needed at home I'll have to leave. Nothing on the car has changed since Martin in June. Ran good there, so just checking it over. Not like last year when I pulled a "Donny Brass".
Amy and I are out for this year. Don't have the funds. Plan is to make it to Martin and Stanton next year. Good luck to all of you!! If Donny has the starting line camera, I will be watching! We both miss being there and hanging with all of our racing friends!! Have a drink for us!:beer
Slight change of plans, will be coming up with Rob, Steve, and the car Friday morning. See you then at the track.
Chris, Ram Air is basically just ONE GUY, but I completely understand your decision. (He might also!) My luck is that his place is about 6 miles from my work. He did have my system today. The quality seems top notch; we will see tomorrow how it all goes together with my Super Turbos. He does have a lift and has offered to cut the correct taper in the pipes, later. For now I will just have completely round ends. Sometimes the best answer someone can give is "I'm too backed up to get to it" although 3 months IS too long. He also seems to be more GM focused. At my work we're so busy we have turned away orders, but only because customers want shipment in 2 weeks. (Our typical lead time is 4 to 6 weeks.) On to better stuff - Chris, will you make it? Also would like to see Jim Lerum, Darrel Detweiler, Roger Doehring, Stefina, Marks, etc. Come on out and watch if you can't race!
I'm officially in, bringing Kim along too. We're bringing two NEW shots to serve up Friday night  to keep y'all warm at the Parking Lot Party...also the DJ/music setup too. Oh yeah...I'm racing too of course, the 69 H/O, this year celebrating the milestone of driving it 50,000 miles in the last 15 years! I'll be adding a few more miles...1/4 at a time Can't wait! No tow vehicle issues here as I do not tow :bglasses: will be driving it as usual, loaded to the max with beer, booze and ?
Looks like no Charger this year. Engine runs as strong as it has in a long time. A hit Sure Grip. Much needed tires. Work. And no trailer, make it a no-show this year. I will be up on Saturday in the B body Pontiac though spectating. Look forward to seein' y'all.......
I'll be there with my sunshine yellow GS and my pit b**** in tow (aka: Tom). Also Rhonda, Yvonne and I have felt a little lackluster in contributions to the Friday parking lot party. So we came up with an idea:idea2:. Come look us up at the "Sweet Stop", where you will find dessert. Danielle
rubber nipples??? the truck is ready, just need to go pick it up. The car is fighting me even though I didn't have anything major to do, but I think I'm slightly ahead at the moment. Lara and I plan to head up tomorrow afternoon.
