Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I picked up a 1970 Wagoneer with a 350/TH400 about a month ago put of Arizona and am in the process of getting everything back running and operational. The PO did some things to it that weren't up to my standards:

Here is what I have done so far:

New aluminum radiator (old radiator was too big and the PO bent the hood up to make it fit
    New 3000 CFM Electric fan
Rewired with an EZ wiring harness
    New 150 AMP alternator
    LED headlights
New SS braided trans cooler lines
    New wheels and tires

    Future Plans:

TA manifold and 4 bbl carb (ordered should be here this week)
    Reseal front knuckles
    Front disc brake conversion
    Headers and Exhaust
    Suspension Lift
    Cam

Then cosmetic stuff, paint, interior etc.

If anyone has any tip/suggestions I welcome the feedback. Located in San Diego if anyone is local.

Nice - My first "car" was a '70 Wagoneer w/a Buick 350/TH400. Been hooked on Buicks ever since. I'll find a pic & post. I put the same wheels/tires on it yours has. Had factory buckets/console which unbeknownst to me @ the time was apparently pretty rare. Of course there was no aftermarket 4BBL intake back then (around '83). I remember calling speed shops trying to find one. At 16 y/o and new to cars and no one to really ask, it never even occurred to me to get a factory cast iron one out of a junkyard. It was a couple years before I moved on to Skylark and GS's and realized I could've done that.
'70 was pre-AMC and Kaiser used Dana axles. IIRC, a 44 in front (drums) and an 80 in the rear.

Dano, close. It has Dana 44 in the rear and a closed knuckle Dana 27 up front with drums all around. I will manly be using it for cruising to the beach and maybe some light trails when we go camp. Swapping a 44 up front definitely in its future.

My memory isn't as good as it used to be:). I'm sure I knew that at the time. Welcome. Those are great trucks and the factory Buick power makes them all that much more special.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Welcome! Those are very popular now. A friend moved to Texas to work where they refurbish Cherokees. Ship many overseas.
    I have a '78 Cherokee S 2dr. from AZ I'm selling, 360AMC.

Jerry, I was looking at the 2 door Cherokee at first, but having two kids that are still in car seats knew a would regret a 2 door. Luckily this one popped up on CL, and it was just a bonus it was pre-1975 (no CA smog regulations)
