Where do you suggest the USA head educationally, just out of curiosity?

And the fact that someone has to be a "fruitcake" to believe in God is hilarious to me.

Go read all our previous posts. They all describe your thoughts perfectly. You think that's just a cooincidence? :error: You are part of the problem with your attitude.

All us pansy fruitcake Jesus believing morons must be so misguided by the 2000+ year old documented, undisputed history of the existence of Jesus and God (Who has "always" been)

What were we all thinking? We should be following you. :puzzled:

Now that my sarcasm rant is done, dude, what about this forum existing actually bothers you enough to post your obnoxious comments? Why I care is a mystery, but I do. Maybe it's the Holy Spirit at the risk of sounding too gay to you (which, by the way, I "don't" care about) :Smarty:

Marc - It would appear you have nothing helpful to add to this forum.

If you change your mind, you're welcome to join us. If not, just move along.

I'd like you to remember one thing though.......one day you will stand before God Himself. He will ask you what did you do with Jesus? If you have not accepted Him as your personal Savior, He will say "Depart from Me, I never knew you". And with that, you will spend all eternity in Hell.

Mock us if you like, it just won't be here.

    The Jihad goes on

I ask you guys to take a moment to listen to yourselves...you sound a lot lke the muslim fanatics who are gleefully blowing up innocent people left and right in their sincere belief that theirs is the "only true God"--arent you guys kind of going down the same track? I would think for a lot of the forum members, car culture is a pleasant meeting point for a wide range of folk's backrounds and cultures...a common ground. You folks however seem to be hijacking a fun hobby in order to push a specific religious belief in a questionable venue. I have the message loud and clear, and will steer clear of this paticular section of the forum..you guys have no sense of humor, and no capacity for banter. As for me, please try not to worry, as one of , (to use your own beliefs) Gods chosen people, I will be working on doing the good deeds here and now....happy motoring! :pp  :TU:

In the same way I choose not to read any Muslim discussions on the internet, all Buick enthusiasts have the same option open to them here, i.e. avoid this particular section of the forum if they are offended by it.

If there was a pornography section on this forum, I would simply not go there. One other forum I go on has a section like that, but the car part of that forum is great, so I continue to read it...

I ask YOU to take a moment to listen to "yourself". :beer

Marc, this is hardly a jihad. :Dou:

If anything, you were creating a jihad against us by hijacking the thread. You would have more in common with me than you care to admit if I met you on the street.

Your view of someone who believes in God must be that of a robe wearing shaved head freak humming away. This "was" a pleasant meeting point adhereing to the "forum title", until you came and began your rant on how dillusional we must be. Look in the mirror dude.

Anyone who knows anything about me (which, by the way, you know nothing about me, but seem to claim you do) knows my sense of humor knows no bounds. And whatever your good deeds as you call them, here and now are, enjoy them while you can. Eternity is a lot longer than the spit in the wind life we lead on this planet is. But you're a real renegade and a rebel. Nobody can suggest anything to someone who seems to always know better.

Nobody loves Buicks more than me. Just because I believe in God somehow changes everything and makes the rest of my life irrelevant? It actually is the REASON my life is relevant at all.

By the way, we're not God's chosen people. We chose God. You can too. We are not some weird cult.

Look how many churches you pass every day driving probably. You think every person that steps inside a church is dillusional? Why do you think they are there in the first place?

Have you ever been iside a church? Are you married? Did you get married inside a church? If so, why? Do you have any friends that got married in a church who's wedding you attended? Did you ever ask them why they bothered? Did you ever ask the priest or the pastor why they bother with their dillusional behavior or do you reserve those questions for a "help from above" forum on a Buick site? :Do No:

Here's my opinion from a Baghdad point of view. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to build a relationship with God prior to coming here. Just this morning as I sit eating, the DFAC is rocked by an explosion of a nearby car bomb. Everyone continues eating like we didnt hear anything, it has become the norm. 5 days ago as I was climbing out of bed, I was shaken by the sound of an Katyusha missile as it flew very low over our building landing and exploding about 200 yards away in another building. The occupant just happend to be out at the time, thank God. 3 weeks ago 2 of those people Marc is comparing us to, snuck over the wall into the FOB, and blended in at the Police Academy. A few days later one blew themselves up in the hallway. As everyone scrambled to the bunker for safety, guess where the other one was. You guessed it, in the bunker too. Over 40 died that day. I pray always, and all the time while on convoys. I have to admit that its fun driving 70 and 80 mph thru traffic in armored SUV's, but death is just a heartbeat away. Terrorist drive around in VBIEDs (car bombs) just looking for targets. Their cars look just like the other hundreds of cars on the roads. Once they spot an you, there is not much you can do. If God is with you, the covoy security guys will notice them speeding up and be able to kill them or disable their vehicle before they get close enough to hit the button. Its very stressful sitting in traffic jams.
Over here, you learn the meaning behind the scripture that says your life is but a vapor that appears for a little while, and then it's gone.
I have learned to recognize the blessings of God and to thank him daily for seeing another day. Yes this is a Buick site and not a testimony site. And I'm sorry if I went overboard. I look at the disagreements going on in this thread and kinda laugh. You guys are my touch of reality-regardless of what you discuss. We wont ever agree on all things but we can all agree on one thing, well two things.
    1. We all like Buicks
    2. We all got to die
I hope you know where you're going afterwards.
Be careful what you say Marc, I believe in God too, and I just happen to be one of those innocent people they are trying to blow up.

    Mike B,

Thank you for sharing that with us! I appreciate you serving our country to defend our freedoms. You, more than anyone, truly knows and understands that freedom is not free and comes with a price! I'm also glad to know you were born again recently and a brother in the Family of God! I have said a prayer for your safety and pray that God will use you for all of His honor and glory while you are there. May God bless you and you be seated in the center of His will!

I would like to make a few points, on the chance that you are still reading this part of the forum.

---It is hardly a fair comparison to compare Christians discussing faith (on a forum section reserved for faith discussions) with Muslims blowing up innocent people!!!

---I would hardly call it hijacking a forum using the faith section to discuss faith!!!

---I would be pushing my religious beliefs on you if I MADE you listen to or read my thoughts on my faith.

---I WILL worry about all I meet who do not know Jesus as their Savior. I went my first 27 years that way, and the next 20 years since giving my life to God can not even be compared to the "hell" I lived the first 27. I know very well what it's like, that's why I worry.

---I will also continue doing good deeds here and now. However, not one of these deeds is what will give me an eternity in heaven with God. My knowledge that he sent His Son to die and rise again for me to show me the way to heaven is what will get me there.

    I will pray for you.

    Who do we listen to?

While just because it is written doesn't make it true is true you probably believe many things you have only seen written and not witnessed firsthand. If any thing in history is a fact or true then Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurection from the dead is a true and historical fact. His life, miracles, and cruxifiction was witnessed by many eyewitinesses and is recorded in many places other than the bible and by non-believers also.Simiply by looking at the Old Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah with a open mind it is clear Christ is the fullfillment of them. While it is true I have my opinion, you have your opinion, and everyone else has thier opinion so who do we listen to? Heb1:1-2 God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets,Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son. Christ is the messenger for the last days and we are in the last days so I suggest that we all listen to him. verse3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had BY HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Please note that cleasing of sin is only availible thur Jesus Christ. There is no boasting in salvation because salvation is of the Lord! I suggest that you read all of Hebrews chapter1 as it will show you why Christ is superior to any other;briefly Being the Son He has a better name,he is worshiped and served by angels,He is GOD [see Heb1 verse 8 But unto the Son he saith,Thy throne ,O God,is forever and ever. The Father calls the son God and elsewhere in the bible Jesus said the Father and I are one,if you have seen me you have seen the Father] He created everything including the angels,he is everlasting, and he sits at the right hand of God. God DEMANDS that we listen to his son Jesus Christ and so his people naturally try to share that with others.I as a christian do not try to force my beliefs on no one because I understand that I can't save anyone, the bible makes it clear that no one can come to Christ except the father draw him,God gives spirital life, but it also makes it clear how shall they hear without a preacher? Every christian should be telling or peaching to others the "good news" or gospel of Christ because it is our duty,by telling others of the gospel God uses that to save the lost.Hebrews chapter1 makes it clear that God has spoken by his son Christ Jesus and Hebrews chapter2 makes it clear we need to take heed to what we have heard and hold it fast for it is a warning from God,DO NOT NEGLECT CHRIST'S MESSAGE, Heb2:3 How shall we escape,if we neglect so great a salvation;which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him. I thank God that he sent a preacher at the appointed time, gave me hears to hear and saved my wreched soul and now that I have heard him I can do no less than tell others for I know there is no escape if we do not listen to Jesus.

    Proof?

There was a time when we, mankind, weren't so proud of ourselves that all creation was all the proof we needed. Merry Christmas my friends!

I haven't been on V8 for about half a year... but I've seen plenty of these discussions on the forum.

I say we make this real, though. If there's anybody in my area that would like to get together over breakfast or coffee or Buicks (mine's gone now, however... we'll have to look at my VW) or something else and discuss this subject, I'm up for it. Think I'm a fanatic? Come check me out. :) I'm not here to war over it. I don't want to get blue in the face trying to convince someone. However, I believe myself to be a rational, reasonable, logical person, and, that said, I believe that the object of my faith - Jesus Christ - is real, and if someone has questions regarding that, I invite them -- in person, or through personal email. Although this forum 'has the blessing' of those who run the board, I realize that this isn't really the place to be debating for pages and pages.

I'm currently working on my Bachelor of Theology degree, which, by implication, means I'm open to being stumped. :) However, I believe that there are answers to most or all of the objections that can be raised against the existence of God or Christianity. I admit I don't know it all, and I don't want to look like a know-it-all. However, I am convinced of what I do know.

BTW, well said, Rusty. I believe that all Christians are commissioned, by Christ himself, to preach in some way, large or small, and I will continue to strive to do my part in that.

You hit the nail on the head man. The word "proud". (nice picture by the way. It "does" say it all)

Pride is what destroys people. It BLINDS people, because they are so wrapped up in themselves and their everyday desires (material desires as well as flesh) and how great they are that they fail to see their complete and utter weakness and brokenness before God.

You can knock, but if they don't open the door, oh well. You can't force someone to believe. Sooner or later, they won't have a choice though.
