Well I put a nice scratch in my new truck. 22 years of driving junk without a problem, but my 1st new one and I scratch it!!!!!!!!!! :spank:

Scratch is on the bed side by the tail light and about a foot long. It is through the paint but there is no metal damage at all.

I know to do this right it would be a $500 job and the whole bed side would need cleared but I'm not going to have that done. I want my truck nice but the monthly payment alone is more than enough to spend!

I guess that's just how bodywork goes! A 1" scratch is just as expensive as a 1' one!!

I was going to get some factory touch-up paint and try to fill it in to the best of my ability and was just looking for some good ideas on how to have it turn out the best!

I know this isn't the best way to repair a 2004 but some day it will be 10 years old and I'll be gagging over the trade they want to give me!! AND, I'm sure it won't be the last mark ever in the truck!!

    Thanks,
    Ken
