Shorty Console in a 67 GS400 manual? Correct or not?

I have never seen a picture of one. Just curious. I was thinking I might like to put one in my car, but not if it is non-spec. Thanks for the input.

I be leave that would've been an option with bucket seats automatic on the column or manual transmission. Not an expert on 67's could be wrong I'm sure someone else will chime in.

On the '67 GS400 order form option "X3 Floor Console -Non-Operating, With Bucket Seats Only"

According to the '67 Buick Production figures there were 296 GS400 hardtops (44617) built with this option. There were also 21 GS400 sedans (44607) and 77 GS400 convertibles built with this console. So this would explain why we rarely see them, not many were made in '67.

I've seen a 67 gs with both the consolette and the shorty console between the bucket seats. Now i dont know if it came that way. One of them could have been added. A lot can happen in 50 years!

Is there a website that lists the 67 production numbers? Fairly detailed...

Not yet but there will be soon at www.1967gs.com I've got some very detailed production figures for the '67 Buick A-bodies that breaks down each option and I will be typing them up into a format that is easy to read and posting them up on that little website. In some cases the figures are even broken down to how many were made at each of the assembly plants. If you are into production numbers, it's some cool stuff.

Is there are particular option you are curious about?

I was curious about my non GS car. It's a Skylark with skirts. Came from the factory with 2-tone paint job (painted black top - burgandy mist? bottom). Bucket seats, console (no tach), manual windows, brakes, locks, seats...power steering, 300-2, factory tint. Just curious how many were like mine from the factory. Nothing special...just haven't seen too many like it.

Does the VIN of your car start with 44177? If so I'll look and see if there is anything in the info for that model as well.

I don't have my Buick here now, so I can't look at the car, but I found an email (to my insurance agent) with the VIN in it. It starts 444177Z...I may have added a 4 when I originally sent it.
