New Cooper Cobra's mounted on the painted steel wheels..255/60/15 in rear and 235/60/15 in front. i sure wish the color would show up in these posts the way it looks on the car and wheels. i think poverty caps will make people think it's just a V6 powered special :Brow:
a few more pictures of the body. hopefully it will get set on the chassis this weekend. you cant tell the floorpans were replaced. there are no seams showing on the bottom.
Did you paint the under body and firewall the same chassis black as you did the frame? Ive always been interested to know whether or not the underbody/frame was supposed to be the same egg shell chassis black just like the frame. It looks great! Awesome job.
Matt Since this car was only a special and not going to be restored back to original, i told the painter to use semi gloss black. he picked the formula. I have no idea what he used. all throughout the job he kept trying to talk me into letting him paint the underside body color instead of black. i'm glad i stuck with the black. Bob
Gs..I went and checked out your other pics the project at hotrodders ..the project looks awesome and your attention to detail shows...what a great car - cant wait to see it finished. Keep up the good work.....J.
Most people will not have a clue at what hit them:3gears: !That car,in my mind, will be in it's own class,"sneaky sleeper":beers2: .I can't wait to see it finished, great work.
I got the body mounted on the chassis today. did it all by myself in about 2 hours. installed 14 body mounts and NO biscuits. this thing should be very stiff in the corners with zero body flex.
