So these are not reproduced anywhere, and mine are cracked, missing pieces and rough. So, what is anybody doing for these? I'm putting on new door panels, so will a different car model's arm rest work? Don't make me machine these out of bar stock. Jon
They are. I have a set. They are not perfect, but they are the only ones I know being made. You might need to trim a little of the "piers" on the back side. https://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/pr...al-gn-br-arm-rest-pads-14-black-only-pr/18955 If you want to refinish the bases in "chrome", Robert is the guy. https://www.chrometechusa.com/automotive-interior-plastics.html chromebob@att.net
oh no, I mean the plastic chrome base itself, not the pad. I can only find 1 of mine right now, but it is missing a big piece that broke off and is in bad shape.
Sorry 'bout that. I had one of those "not getting what I am reading moments", when I read your post. I have a couple of bases, (I think, two pairs) but they either need to be rechromed, or painted as you desire. (I actually like the look of some of them with flat complementary to the door color scheme that I have seen done). Let me get them out and take some pics. They have some small cracks, but I think I may be able to get a set that are in pretty good shape. If so, and you want them, all you need do is cover the shipping.
I got the two bases today. Thank you so much. These should work just fine with a little bit of glue and some fresh paint. You went above and beyond being friendly, thank you again. Gratefully yours Jon
