I'm considering this car. I talked to the owner and it could be original paint and interior. Maybe $9k would be worth it?
Hi, Look closely at the front and back window channels as they rot out under the moldings in the corners. Also look closely at the rear lower quarters and around the taillights as rot out there as well If its solid, chrome is nice I would think it was worth it, paid over 7 for a 4 door and it didn't have AC Good luck
Hi again, My 65 Special and Skylark both had vinyl/cloth seats. My Skylark seats looked similar pattern to this car Regards,
Door panels appear to be Special or Special Deluxe if I'm not mistaken. Or did Skylark post cars come with those door panels too? But it has Skylark tail panel and Skylark script on glove box door.
Was my fathers car , some original paint stuff that was redone not really nice but would be good to buff down and clear for patina look . Lots of small door dings but a really good solid little car was sitting awhile would need freshing up .Guy I sold it to trading for money owned on some construction work I believe . Anyone serious can contact me I'll tell you all I know . I bought out of mid west Kansas I believe .
Hi again, Door panels are correct for Skylark, Special had a different pattern with a tin foil emblem in a similar location With that said, there is a 65 Special Deluxe that comes by one of the local shows that has Skylark door panels from the factory so guess it was up to the factory Nice looking car if only I was in the market, as cheaper than the body and paint work will cost on mine Regards,
Hi again, Should mention, hardtops and convertibles had different door panels with a rectangle emblem with a red bird. Regards,
Right. I do like the hardtop version better but, I've never seen the post style in person. Looking forward to checking it out. Thanks.
