    Greetings
I like to look at other builds so I thought I'd start my own.

    I paid 3500 for this 70 Skylark Custom,350 2 barrel,68,000 miles.I initially planned to make a GS replica but have since flip-flopped to make a GSX replica,Saturn Yellow.It will recieve a frame off-restoration

Here's the car with somebodies home paint job,it's original color was Cortez Gold

Managed to squirrel away enough cash to finally build the 455 I wanted

    It's got alum.rods,forged pistons 11:1 compression,T/A 510 cam,T/A SE alum heads,T/A roller rockers,SP-1 intake,Holley HP 950 carb,Mickey's headers,turbo 400 trans with 3500 stall converter.The rear diff has been changed to a chevy 12 bolt with 3:73 gears,Moser axles,plus a complete rear set-up from HR PartsNStuff awaiting installation

Put about 1200 miles on it last summer to get some break-in time & see how it runs

The passenger 1/4 was a concern, thankfully through TimR we managed to locate a GM skin near to me,lightened my wallet 1,500. but well worth it for fit

They are very nice!! :dollar: Think I'll use nylon locking nuts on the brackets so I don't warp that acre of chrome

All the stainless is polished,wheel-well trim came out excellent along with the rear 1/4 trim. Not sure if I'm going to use red or black for the accent striping

Very nice build, love the pumpers!
How much ground clearance do you have with those headers
I hope you bought another set of those rear tires with that motor.....

Didn't dyno the engine but I would cautiously say 500 horse? Would be interested in numbers from other members similar builds. All I can say it's FUN!!

Good catch on the headers,I had to be very careful on cruises. It was very low with the 14`s but have gained a lot with the 15`s.I have a set of big block springs to go in but am scared of having a gasser look,I`ve never tackled a spring change but I`ve come this far.Yes, good rear tires will be hard to keep
