Slotted brake rotor direction of rotation

I swear I read in a post on the board a while ago how the slots on slotted rotors should point backwards - but I can't find that post now even after searching for a while.

When I did the front disk replacement on the Electra I remember the instructions being serious about having the slots point towards the direction of rotation. Though I guess it's a matter of interpretation as to which end of the slot is pointing :)

Something reminded me of this point today which made me go searching again.

So here is the skinny from Baer: Everyone reads the instructions - right?

They are more concerned with the way vanes.......the inner ribbing support of the rotor turns if the rotors are a curved vane. but the slots normally look like they run backwards. ....if you had straight vane rotors it wouldn't matter as much.

The biggest concern is getting the airflow through the rotor correctly. The instructions seem pretty clear and easy to me to follow
