I have just acquired a 65 Skylark and both lenses have breaks with terrible repair attempts. What are my options for replacement? Ebay / Craigslist / Forums? Repro? Restoration of current or used taillights? Thanks
No repro out there. Used or NOS only. On a 65 Skylark there are multiple lenses in the tail light housings. If there re only 1 lens per side then you have a Buick Special. I have a box of used lenses here somewhere.......................I just don't know where at the moment.
Thank you for the response. I Did not think so via my searches, but wanted to make sure. I found a set on the auction site that has complete lenses, but will have to do some cleaning and want to figure out how I can clean up some of the pitting etc. now to search for some info on restoring an old set myself. Mine have a few cracked lenses in the taillight and the previous owner used some sealant and then applied reflective conspicuity tape on it.
