Where can you get the little speed nuts that secure the hood chrome trim on a 71 Skylark? I have got the variety pack you can get in the help section at the parts store but they didn't work really well.

Most of the new ones for sale from auto suppliers are metric sized and don't work well on our cars. You need to find a supplier with SAE or go with good used ones.

I would look at Todd's website diecastmusclecars and browse all those fasteners. I did a quick glance and saw he had the speed nuts for the hood vents on a gs hood and they might work. Definitly call him though if you dont see it specifically cause he is great guy and can let you know if it will work/is correct or just hasnt got all of them listed on his site yet. I have ordered a lot of random bolts and fasteners from him and am really glad he provides the service you would be making it hard on yourself not trying there before rolling tour sleeves up and scrounging around.
