What, no Speed Minder? :Brow: Seriously, though, looks great. We seem to be running neck-and-neck on our cars. Maybe we can get some side-by-side pics at BG. :TU:
I am supposed to get one today as a matter of fact so it will be optioned as follows P/S,PDB,A/C,CRUISE, P TRUNK,PW,PL,AM/FM,8 TRACK, REAR DEFOROST, 24HR CLOCK, SPEEDMIONDER ,BUCKETS, CONSOLE, TILT,15X7 CHROMEWHEELS, RALLEY STEERING WHEEL, UPPER PEAK, BODY SIDE TRUNK AND EXT CHROME N-25 STAGE 1 , TH400 , NO BUMPER GUARDS ( I have those NOS in boxes in trunk) I wonder if I am forgetting anything. I probably ruined the value of the car for resale according to some people here because the car was a white car with a flat bench with basic interior and that butt ugly eyeball wheel. I have saved all the original stuff so if someone felt it was nessessary to go back it would require some work but could be done.
The car is still what, 1 of 6? I think everything you've added/changed will only help the value. I'm adding almost everything you did except cruise and buckets to mine, but ofcourse mine was not originally a GS(X!). And I've still got to force myself to cut the hole in the hood (that you provided, thanks!) for the NOS '72 hood tach I've got. :eek2: Funny, I've always liked those big bumper guards. :bla:
I have always disliked them Terry has them on her Suncoupe I bought NOS rear and front but could not even bring myself to send them out for re chrome Don't worry about cuting that hole a good body man can r=weld it up later if you need to. I say cut away. I asked in a thread if it were possible to get a GSX Suncouope and yes you could have bought one but according to the experts no one did. I would probably never add the power options to a 70 but the 72 being down on power anyway why not have the comforts whats another 300# My car might be the heaviest 72 GS stage 1 out there. Probably up there with a Riv
Guess what I knew I was forgetting something. I found one out of Canada Power seat track NOS. I installed it and the thing did not work. I could tell it was new. Problem was the cups that move with the electric signal had dried up grease in them. I took it apart and cleaned the grease and it now glides so smooth
John, your car is looking so good. Thanks for taking us by to see that nice ride....you guys are going to love this car... It's sweet. Paul
Look what followed me home today. I have a few small issues with the work at the body shop but all in all they did a good job. After i get the bumpers and interior installed I have to take it back for minor fixes. I am really glad I changed the color.
Are there any updates on this!? I am enjoying this tread greatly! I am surprised this car came with the standard steering wheel, when it seems to have gotten everything else! KFD
Just busyy with real life folks. The car got a back seat and just got my N 25 tips back from chrome looking to get the exhaust buttoned up this week and then its on to the a/c and fixing more screw ups. One thing is the heater hoses they cut the one so short that the heat control valve sits in the wrong position which messes the whole look of the engine compartment. I found my correct air pump brackets and am waiting on the new diverter valve from Tim carson. I have to drill me NOS inner fender for the cruise control head and the NOS fender for the ww bottle I'll get some more pics soon
ttt John, are you gonna make the GS Nats with your car? Mine is still scattered around the garage, so I'm not.
