Going to paint it silver but what do you think which direction should it go since its not really for cold air?
Or don't do it at all?

Tried to post a pic but it gave me a error message?

I think you should raise it up a couple inches. Back the Regal out from underneath it.
Gently slide a 70-72 Skylark or GS with a Skylark hood and re-attach forward facing.

How about something a little more period correct? I think a stage 2 scoop will just look like something out of the accessory aisle at autozone on a newer car like the Regal.

If you do decide to go with a stage 2 scoop I would definitely trim it a bit so it sits a little closer to the hood.

I'll be blunt, as I usually am.

In think it will look stupid. Scoops were intended to serve a function.

You may as well stick a plastic blower to the hood, if you are going for the 'cool' look.

    You asked...

The MPD hoods are way to expensive but very nice. And besides those hoods there is a GN style as well.
I was originally going to need the clearance for the blower and if I was going to have to use a scoop it was going to be a Buick scoop but it did fit under the hood when all said and done. I still kind of like the idea but do what dauntless said and make it shorter.

It's a Gen V same setup as my son's Regal but this one sets up much higher. Only difference his is a GS and this car is a LS but that shouldn't matter. The drivetrain is from a 06 GTP. It does clear but just barely. I have the cradle spacers but didn't use them.
