Jamie, you have a soft spot for those cars? The owner has a soft spot but it's not for the cars....Good seeing you the other day Scott..

Photoshop is most amazing, isn't it!!!!! Totally unbelieveable what a rusty, old, dented up, previous owner smoked cracked, used as a whiskey runner before blowing up the engine....sat in the surf for two years..went through two Thousand Oaks brush fires, really has buggy springs, engine burns black gun powder, heap.

Tom-hood came from Crites in ohio-- Some of the ford guys complain about thier customer service, but they were fantastic for me, and the hood is one of the nicest, best fitting fiberglass parts i have eve used. 320.00 plus shipping

Well that's a timely inquiry! nowhere near finished, the slowing economy and starting a new business has slowed progress but there is some:
we have a front seat suitable for travel, as in all my cars:

and the first of the dyno sessions, some more slight progress-we reported to the Jim Grubb Motorsports dyno yesterday, but the session was short lived. The Ford rockers I am trying to work with (budget, budget, budget) are designed to work without locknuts, making adjustment quick and easy. The set I procured was in fantastic condition, showing no wear on the valve tip and pushrod surfaces, and the adjusters were very tight when hand held. (like not moveable, as they should be) Cam lift is jus tunder .600, so these rockers should work well, but once the engine was broken in and fluids changed, we pulled the valve covers and found 5 of them completely backed off, to the point of nearly losing the pushrods. we set the lash and tried a couple pulls but they were obviously spinning loose again as power was falling immediately. one pull to 4500 was all we could manage, showing 386 hp (& falling at 4500) and 434 lbs ft @ 3400. carb was at least 2 steps lean, possibly 3. Shop ordered locknuts for all of the adjustors, will get it worked out and dyno pulls completed today, I believe, but I am at work today and will not be there to enjoy it . oil pressure was excellent, sounded nice, hoping for 450ish hp this time around.

I spoke to the Buick turn coat today...Apparently there are a few issues with the dyno run, some rocker issues and a few others....but apparently the motor is making some good numbers..I'll let Brain-dead, Buick turn coat let you guys in on the particulars.

Pay no attention to Len, Mike-he is just jealous cause he has 8 cars but still has to borrow his wifes ride to get anywhere. I know you saw the latest over at feforums, thanks for the props over there. here is a repost, now that life has slowed a bit
The guys at Jim Grubb Motorsports (Valencia, Ca) finished my dyno sessions today. They did an awesome job on this little beauty! final dyno took a little over an hour with jetting and timing adjustments optimized.
Jim was opposed to the streetmaster intake right up until the first pull today, I reassured him Jays dyno tests say this is the one to use. He is a believer now.
