Car has been sitting since there is snow on the ground now.
Ordered a new Holley 0-4779C from Jegs tonight.
Tried to order the intake from TA as well, but can't figure out how to add stuff to the cart...even though if I pick "view cart", it says it's empty, and click on "continue shopping", still can't add anything to the darn cart.
i guess I will call them tomorrow.

For parts from Ta either email them or give them a call. Great staff there so a call is always a pleasant experience.

    Right on, will do.
Found a different set of valve covers from TA performance tonight. They must be the old style, as they still have the "BUICK" and the "TA Performance" raised aluminum lettering and tag on them. The covers on TAs site no longer have "BUICK" on them.

Picture of what I ordered tonight:

So the only carburetor you plan on running is a Holley?

    Yep.
Its sitting in the box in the shop.
My son will open it this afternoon when he gets home from school.

Its a Holley 750 double pumper with manual choke.

Have the valve covers too...still in the box as well.
Done spending until our dollar comes back a bit.
The intake, gaskets, shipping, and brokerage fees, was over $700.00. Since it was my first order from TA Performance. (Should have order the gaskets separate, and then the intake....then I could have had it shipped to my Montana address.)

No matter...done spending for awhile....I can just imagine what the aluminum heads will be....Ha!

Next time as them if they can send it through US Postal Service and you will not get hit with the fees.

Next time I will just have it shipped to my Montana address, and avoid the brokerage fees altogether.
i can drive down and back for about $40.00 so I could have still saved almost $70.00 in extra fees.

They said it was a one time thing...I can get anything shipped to any address now...they just had to ship the first order to my "Billing address".

See why I jumped all over that SP3 you had for sale awhile back Sean? Lol

I could have taken my wife with me...drove to Edmonton, met you and bought the intake, got both of us snot-hangin drunk, stayed in a motel, filled up the car the next day, and nursed a hangover all the way home, cheaper than what this one cost me.

That is a nice looking intake. I suggest you paint it if you want it to continue to look that good.

Yeah...I've never had to coat an intake before...I usually just glass bead them again if they get stained up.
Using new glass bead shot looks brand new again, where-as using old, used glass bead, results in a more whiteish finish, instead of the fresh silver/grey of new aluminum.

You have to take the intake off to glass bead it. If you like the aluminum color, just paint it with aluminum paint. The paint will not burn off an aluminum intake or head. I have yet to see a clear that would not yellow over time.

Yep, no coating / painting on mine. They will stay nice till you have leaking throttle shafts. My Stage 1 was bought on 7-18-2000. Still holding it's own ........
