Well, spring is coming pretty soon here in Wisconsin(at least, whenever the cold weather goes away for good) and I want to start working on bodywork on my GS. I have a general "battle plan" as far as what I want to get done, but I do have a few obstacles that I have to deal with. First off, I will be using a garage that I wont have access to for very long, so whatever I do has to be sweet and short. Second off, my funds are very limited right now because I will be moving sometime during the summer. So, I have about a 2-3 month window to perform this work. Ok - My car needs ALOT of work as far as body work is concerned, but this is what I do want to do to it: 1 - Take off the rest of the Vinyl Top and Sand it down so I can shoot the metal with paint. I searched through the archives on this site and found some great information on removing Vinyl Tops. 2 - Repair the rear window, water leaks in. I am going by the Rear Window Repair article that is over at Mr. Nenadovich's Web Site. 3 - Repair the Front Fenders if they need it, I have heard that most replacement fenders dont exactly fit right so, I figure that I would use the original ones if I can. 4 - Sand down any rust spots on the body of the car, and paint the whole car using an Anti-Rust Enamel, like Farm and Fleet's Paint. My quarter panels need replacing, but I dont think that I have either the time nor the funds to buy and install replacement ones, so since I would need to paint the roof anyway, I figure that I would shoot the whole car so at least It would have some better protection than it already does. My thinking on this is that when I move, I am not sure if my GS will be able to be garaged so when Winter comes, I will cover it with a car cover and at least it will be protected better than it is now. On top of all this, I also have two pretty big holes in the floor underneath where the back seat goes. I have attatched pics of the two holes, as well as the floor pans. I have been told that I could reuse the floor pans that are there, just install them the right way, not with pop rivets. How do you guys think that I should repair the two holes in the back? Any suggestions or any information that you guys could provide me about my project would really be great! Thanks! Isaac
