Looking for a steering shaft for my 70 GS 455. Apparently big block shaft differs from 350 cars. NOS or good used ok. Also need a real nice or NOS drivers side headlight bezel for the same car.
    Thank you. Tom N

    Tom,
I don't have one for you but I'm wondering if you can explain the difference for us viewers at home. ;)

Hi Mike, I wish I knew the answer ... I emailed GSFred since he always has one of everything (every time I need something) ... lol He didn’t have the part but replied that there is a difference, so be sure to get a BB steering shaft. So that’s why I requested it ...

Small block steering shift is a one piece, big block is a two piece where the shaft attaches to the steering box.

I am pretty sure I have a spare BBB steering shaft if no one else speaks up as I would prefer keeping the spare juuuust in case.

I understand “hanging on” to spares ... I have a garage full! I’m just getting nervous because my car is going to paint shop this weekend without steering. I see Tamraz carries a repop that is supposed to work. Anybody know if it’s legit? My resto project is a 70 S1 4-speed car so I’m trying to use real Buick parts whenever I can.

I bought a rebuilt from NPD for my 70 Chevelle. I compared it to my 72 Stage 1 and they are the same. That does expand the search for you.

And a small block will work, it just wont have the removeable flange the BB one would,.
