    Hi,
I have a '68 GS400 that is stock, as far as I know. I was wondering what CFM the stock carb is. Also was wondering how flow/ fuel much a stock motor can handle.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    750cfm for the stock qjet...

Are you referring to fuel pressure? Fuel line size? The stock fuel pump and line should be sufficient for a stock motor.

I was wondering how high CFM a stock motor can handle and run well.
    Thanks,

To my knowledge, there are two sizes of this carb. The smaller, indicated by a visible ridge running horizontally around both primary venturis, is a 750 cfm unit. The larger of the two has no ridge; it has an 830 cfm rating. This carb has a bulge close to the metering orifices, visible by looking into the primaries. Typically, the smaller unit was used on engines up to 350 ci. The larger was used on 400, and larger units. Ray
