    Hey all,
just wondering if anyone out there has pics of a Stratomist Blue GSX, im thinking of painting my car that color (the seamist green doesnt do it for me :boring: ) it has a black interior so i could really go with anything... anyone have any ideas? pics of odd colored GSX's are too hard to find, thanks!

I don't mean to "but" in, but.. I had a 71 Skylark custom in Stratomist blue with white vinyl top. What I remember is the color was a little bit lighter than the blue in that photo. I think there was a convertible listed for sale some time back that was what I remember as stratomist blue. Either way, I think these cars look great in any shade of metallic blue.

    **** Twilight Turquoise Poly 2331 927-AF177 A-2442

*** - according to Buick literature, these colors were not available on Skylark, SportWagon and GS.

**** - according to Buick literature, these colors were available ONLY on the Electra 225, EstateWagon, Centurion, LeSabre.

That pretty much leaves two colors for 71. Cascade and Stratomist. Some of the above info won't make sense because it wouldn't paste in chart form. See link below for charts.

I agree, Stratomist is I believe the lighter of the two. It has more of a powdery tint to it....

By the way, found all this here:

That 71 Stage 1 looks nice. I am anxious to see if he gets his asking price. The color combo is beautiful!!

I am presuming that is an old ad since the Kenne Bell Buick car is listed there too. I doubt you will see a frame off stage 1 documented convert. for that little.

wow! thanks everyone, i think i found my color =) now with all of these ive noticed that there are light/dark variations... could it be photo quality that changes it or is there really that much of an accecpable variation? thanks!

    Howdy all!
That is a great color combo. I have a 72 skylark that was that color from the factory. Found the color when I pulled the finders off to fix the frame cracks! When the car gets new paint around the first of the new year it will be blue once again. I plan on the x stipes without the lettering. Also I plan on the stage two hood in fiberglass.
    Thanks
    Mark

I know that I`ll catch hell for this....but my original 71 Stage1,4 speed car is getting cloned into a Strat blue GSX.The burnished Cinamin/brown vinyl just really didnt do it for me[no offence anyone] And since I have a perfect black int[my car is supposed to be saddle],the choice was easier for me. The tough choice was Lime Mist or Strat blue,I really like both colors

You'll catch no hell from me. Sounds like a good plan. I'd luv to have that color combo too.
