    Yeah...cam is all broke in.

Was out of town for a couple weeks.....back at it!

Trying to find a radiator leak right now. Got my insurance and collector plates yesterday. It'ss really hard to not just go drive around!

Hopefully this week/weekend will bring 2 tires for the front and some exhaust. perhaps a buddy or 2 to help put the hood back on as well!

Until then....I have stuff to keep me busy. finish welding the shave job on the passenger door and antenna, putting seat belts back in(maybe dye them?), stuff like that.

I figure since I'm probably gonna have to cut a hole in the hood anyways....might just go get a carb spacer too.

    Okay....

Finally got most of the little bugs worked out. She seems to be staying decently cool, the trans is full, the brake lights and tail lights work, the system charges, and it idles.

In case you missed it....I thought I had serious charging issues. Ended up being the windshield wiper fuse. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=232897

So now....I just need to tweak the carb and I should be able to go get my mufflers on tomorrow!

    Fingers crossed......

    Sonnofa....

Well...still no mufflers. Lots of other stuff to keep me busy though:rolleyes:

Having some stopping issues. Brake shoes all look fine...not noticible contamination anywhere. I did notice, however, that my master cylinder is a bit low.

So...today will involve going and getting some one man bleed screws, bleeding the system, and most likely buying a new master.

Also add to my to-do list.....find out why there's that pretty red puddle under my car!!

The trans pan is soaked. Hopefully just a gasket!

My master cylinder looks alot like that. It might have something to do with the rusted out brake line going back to the rear axle.
Hope yours was easier to fix. Later, Randy

I have the bias ply version of the same tire. They're very good tires. I wish I would've got the radials. The bias ply get flat spots from sitting in one place too long.

Got my scoop situation all figured out...still need to finish it with some mud.

Got the exhaust all done and started her up for a spin!!

That's when things went bad. Messed with the engine for 3 days trying to get a little vacuum built up.
Nothing. She fell flat on her face everytime i gave it a little throttle.
Did a compression test, and I was anywhere from 70psi to 180psi. Time to remedy the problem...

Needless to say...I spent some $$$$. Full ring kit with bearings, some machine work, some elbow grease and paint.....

I'm hoping to be driving it in a week for the next Golden Super Cruise!! We'll see what hurdles I hit....
