That's right Stacey, good catch. If that car has disc's, someone would have had to grind down the calipers to get those wheels to work.

Yes, a disc brake car would have DG code painted rally wheels. This car has a rally wheel on the right rear but I didn't ask him to verify if it was a DG code. There is also a correct style trim ring for a DG wheel laying in the trunk in one of the photos he sent to me.

I requested a photo of the disc brake hold-off valve since it is the hardest part to find being used only in 1967. It is the correct style and all of the lines are bent exactly like the two set-ups that I have on hand. In one of the photos he supplied I can see the casting number on the inboard side of the master cylinder and it is a correct '67-'68 unit.I think the discs are very likely original to this car.

Such a shame that it was left in a field to rot for so many years.

Spacers could have been used maybe?

Yep, that too. Didn't think of that.

The left quarter panel looks to have a big batch of bondo, I suspect that is why there is an extra chunk in the trunk.

I think it has both types of wheels. The chrome Rallye on the front looks a lot cleaner than the steel wheel on the rear (for '67 disc brake optioned cars).

Excellent! It’s a rare car with great options so it would be great to see it saved. I wish you luck. I hope you will start a thread and post updates.
