    Effective immediately.
Due to the high number of complaints I have recieved from users posting for sale ads, only to have the post overtaken by a flame war about prices, vehicle conditions, values, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire ect.. commentary will no longer be allowed in someone's ad. If you want to comment on something, make your own new post about it, in the Bench, or other appropriate forum. Reasonable requests for more pictures, info, or other sale related communication is still allowed.

The moderators have been instructed to immediately delete any post that even hints of anything other than straightforward buying/selling discussion.

Offenders of this new policy risk disciplinary action.

Let's just buy and sell some parts folks, and keep the commetary to ourselves, or in other appropriate forums. It's, at the very least, rude to break up someone's for sale ad with your personal views on prevailing pricing trends, or other non-sale related information.

All ads must have a price and the location that the item is at. Ads not containing this information will be removed immediately.

    Thanks

    JW

Looks like I'm next up inline. Based on Mike Trom(meter)'s '68-'72 Buick GS Quick Reference Guide, this is one of 136 Bamboo Cream convertibles and 1 of 21 from the Leeds plant.

I'm probably a bit like rdirks, everything I end up with = frame off restoration which includes my '70 Custom convertible(never the intention but with each thing I touched...) I've got a '70 GS455 Bamboo Cream (non original drivetrain) with black top and interior convertible project that will be given a frame off restoration with a few minor changes. A different approach should probably be taken with this car which means I'll pass.

P.S. Steve thanks for the pictures here in the thread, they will be a reference for me as I get started on my car. Good luck with the sale.

    Scott,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but South Dakota does NOT use salt on its roads, correct? I have bought a couple of cars previously from S.D. specifically and have been told that tid-bit. I always thought that that was why so many nicer cars come from S.D. versus many states nearby. Not that your car has been drive much, though. Good luck. It's nice to see these kind of survivors still popping up because they are becoming pretty scarce.

This car was on the road in Iowa until around 1974, then stored in a machine shed. I don't know how much it was driven in the winter, but Iowa does use salt on the roads. The pictures of the floor etc. look worse than it is. The floors and frame are very solid and don't need anything but cleaned and painted. I didn't do it because I didn't want to cover anything up from original. Scott

There is (was?) a very similar car for sale by a dealer in Dallas IIRC and I almost emailed him calling BS on his ad as I'd thought he was flipping your car. Good thing I went back and looked or I'd have had serious egg on face - There was some difference - Maybe interior color.

I cannot believe that you still have this car. Loaded, low mi. original sheetmetal, numbers matching BB convertible that's not rotted.

I'm not trying too hard to sell it. I've just got too many cars and don't have time to enjoy them anymore. Trying to sell some off here and there, but you kinda get attached to them. I'm much better at buying than I am at selling. LOL. I thinking if I could get down to 20 or 25 cars, it would be more manageable.

Agree. I've told several ppl about it. I think everyone was asleep on this one. If I'd have had the spare $ it'd have been sold long ago.
