This is a new block that was sent to Jim Weise directly from TA. I have only seen pictures of it but my plans have changed and Duttweiler is building me a V6 with TA block and heads. The Tomahawk has 3" mains and 55mm cam tunnel. Part # 4550-3.00M Save shipping and have Jim build you one with the new billet heads!
    $5900.

Is this the raised cam version? Can a stock cover be used?

This is not the raised cam version so a stock cover can be used. This is the version TA sells the most of I heard.

Cranks are currently available from TA (thru crower) or Moldex. Moldex is a billet, cost is 4K plus, expect to wait a year.
TA has two options thru Crower, A forged unit with several weight/counterweight options, and the billet unit, once again about 4K, but available in a reasonable time period. Call TA for pricing options on the Forged crank.

$2400 for the Enduromax IE the heavy one

$2600 for the Supermax like 8lbs lighter

I'm saving for the Enduromax myself

Have you guys tried Velasco or Bryant? My Velasco billet for my 517" Olds has a 4.700" stroke,3" mains,2.00" rod journals, additional center counterweight, and all the other options, and it was a little over $3k. I know Olds is not Buick, but it's a custom-order,just as the Buick crank would be.

Before I die, I'd like to see-through getting Sonny Bryant to make a BBB crank.

They're one of the best in the business with fair pricing and reasonable production times.

I talked to Sonny quite some time back. He wanted me to order 5 cranks at a time. I've bought both Moldex and Crower cranks. Has anyone in the Buick community lost a motor due to a billet crank failure???

I'm back home now. It looks like Brian is first in line.

I "talked" with Brian and he can't buy it for another three weeks. He will let Larry move to first in line.

Paul, I'm not in line yet, but I'm teetering on the edge. This is the direction I want to go, for Rick Millers old car. There's a girdled 523 in it now making around 750 hp. My long term plans would include a big power adder or two pushing 1400-1500 hp but having just purchased the car in April I need a little more time for my budget to level back out. I'd love to see a pair of Ken Betts Wildcat heads sitting on it!!
We'll just have to wait and see how August plays out and if they're still available, then I may just be your Huckleberry!!
