When I am logged on to this board and click on v8Buick icon at the top of the page - intending to return to home page - I get un-logged in and have to start over. If I start over using the pull-down menu it will log me back in again with out having to enter my log-in ID and password. Is there a remedy for this? Thanks, in advance, Matt
I have the same issue. If I type "v" in the address bar it defaults to "v8buick.com" and I hit enter, it takes me to the main page and I'm still logged in. If I hit "new posts it takes me back there and I'm still logged in. But for some reason if I hit the banner it goes to the main page but I'm logged out.
I might suggest trying to clear the cache in your browser. In Chrome this can be found by selecting Ctrl H - look on the left for clearing history. Select that -- one of the options is to clear cache. It's not a bad idea to flush that once and a bit anyways
Yes, the above is correct, that is your browser doing that, not the board's software. I can click the logo and stay logged in.. just tried it several times. JW
O'k, thank guys. I'll give that a whirl. It just started one day and doesn't occur on other sites. I never thought it was a board issue, though.
Try this: Click on your name at the right top corner of the screen. In the pop-up screen click on Log Out. Now delete V8Buick from your favourites on your computer or mobile. Go to Log in or Sign up, enter your details and check the Stay logged in box. After checking in you can add V8Buick to your favourites again. This SHOULD work without the need to delete cookies first. If not, try that after logging out and do it all over again
Hello Erik, Welcome back!! Where ya been? Thanks very much. I did as you suggested and it now works well again. I asked the head IT of a local college about my issue with the computer and he he gave me the "deer in the headlights" blank stare and said something about the website has the problem. I told him I seriously doubted that idea. I thanked him for his time. Again, thanks Matt
