Hey, That's my chopped GS. I want to buy it, can someone help? I built the car in Pittsburgh. It's my wedding car. Got married in 1978. Still married to my beautiful sweetheart! The pic is from the 1983 Pittsburgh world of wheels show. Mogan
Mogan Glad you found V8Buick. How all this got started is here http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/pittsburgh-estate-sale-1970-gs-check-out-the-paint.339655/ Dave
i guess that would be me pm me and we can make it happen. prepare yourself,im telling you its in rough condition. im located south of rochestor new york, for reference btw,Big Props to member John Kaz for posting the original estate sale. without him none of this would have come together.
so,the backstory is this. this car and 2 others were bought out of a garage either in southern ny or northen pa. guy #1 buys them, brings all 3 back up to his place removes 4 speed and 4 speed hump. the 455 was out of the car and the guy kept it. car was said to not have been running for Many years at this point. guy#1 sells it to my guy,who bought it for a parts car for his chevelle. he gets sick and posts a cl ad and guy#2 shows up and strips the car of random various pieces while my guy is not paying attention. he also stole the Body tag. tilt steering column and 4 speed pedals along w trim get gone/sold. guy#3 thats me,comes in looking at a 66 coronet and finds the buick and realizes its something special. start talking to him about parts and makes a deal for some Limited parts. thanks to the forum,i find out these are brother cars, then have to go back and buy entire car w bucket seats and now whats left is what you see. i strongly reccomend that if this og builder mogan is serious, that he buy both cars and recreate his out of my car, using both. otherwise, this shell is a lost cause imo.

The fact is nothing was stolen, the fellow that was there with could care less what I removed. I handed him twenty bucks extra for the marker lights and cross bars including the cowl tag. This thing is scrap only!
