well if it will run you can rule out electrical. has to be fuel related.

Yes, I ran power directly from the battery to the distributor, and still stalled. I ruled out everything except 2 things, the fuel tank itself and the fuel sending unit. Dropping the tank and tossing it and changing the sending unit. The sock on the sending unit has got to have something on it choking it out due to the 27yo car and the previous owner said that it was just sitting last summer. BTW I have a channel with all the vids of this car repairs, tests, etc. it's under GDFGC8owner on YouTube!

But you got good fuel pressure right? Are you getting gas in the carb? Unless its flooding or running lean its prob something in the carb. My k20 did this was stuck float.

I removed the carb and put on another car and functioned just fine. The fuel lines and sending unit look harsh, might as well change it all.

If it ran on another car your losing pressure in the fuel so your right to change all that.

Thanks man, what I don't want to happen is after I change everything it still stalls. But it is the only thing left. So I hope this is it.

Is the charcoal canister for the fuel tank vent still in place?

Try removing the fuel cap, to make sure you are not stalling due to vacuum building up in tank.

Not a heat soak/vapor lock is it, like it does it only after its good and warm/hot?

UPDATE: Awaiting the fuel tank and tank straps arrival, and the fuel sending unit has is already here. Install to come shortly after all parts arrive. New fuel lines will be fab'ed and installed as well.

If you can go with larger fuel lines (1/2 inch) you'll avoid fuel starvation at WOT. They fit up rather nicely, just put some rubber line around them at any chafing points.

Love the exhaust exit - nice trick!

    Re: The Bandit's 87 Regal 307/Buick 350 Build

Well hello all, haven't been on the site in a while so here an few updates on my Regal.
Change the gas lines and fuel pump then I ended up pinching the lines in between the tank and trunk floor.(idiot) Fixed that, had to get a used tire for my T-Type rims, the guy at the desk told me he had a full set of gold GTA rims for $150  so this is what the car looks like now!
awaiting 1" spacers front and rear! After that awesome string of luck the distributor **** the bed, and for the 3rd time it was on a flatbed
[IMG] Fixed that as well then after talking with a few Buick owners I'm not going to put in the 455. It's just too heavy, so what's goin in? 71 Buick 350 But then bad luck shows its evil head, I got into and accident with Honda insight, plus a wet road equal
    [IMG]
in my horror I just decide to put the car away for the rest of the summer, fear not the build doesn't stop here!!!

    Stay tune!!!

I'm back with a vengeance, so let me get everyone up to speed on this car these pictures are in time order. After the accident I found another header panel for the time being

I found it funny that even though the car was in the condition that it was in people still stop to look at it at a car show

So after I got everything worked out the car ran for a good 2 to 3 months and then this happened
    [IMG]

And yet again it goes on the flatbed
    [IMG]

While in limbo, I found a T-Type hood. Figured why not it's going to get repainted anyway.

Started disassembling the 307 to make room for the new motor

    Finally got it out!!!

I took delivery of the first motor (71' 350 Buick four barrel) turns out it didn't have an oil pan
    [IMG]

Well after that let down and a lot of searching I sourced yet another motor (72' Buick 350/350 but this one is a two barrel motor.

    Finally got the motor seated

Motor bolted down finally, while the motor was going in and out found some time to take out the AC unit
    [IMG]
Took off the two barrel intake manifold and water pump for further inspection everything looks good so far
    [IMG]
Got the four barrel intake manifold on and button down. And the new water pump installed as well
    [IMG]
Turns out that waterpump didn't line up with the pulleys, luckily I still had the 71' block!

So now everything is lined up ready to go I put the old fan that I had on the 307 on this motor new radiator, new hoses, new alternator, the only thing I neglected to receive was the power steering pump and brackets. I also got the correct HEI distributor.

How it sat in the engine bay from outside.

The Q-Jet I had on the previous motor did not move due to the fact that the intake manifold was different so I use a 1 inch spacer that I had lying around everything cycles as it should no hang-ups.

I finally scored a V6 3.8 power steering pump with the brackets! I also got new lines for it as well. "The only thing working at Pep Boys is good for" LOL
    [IMG]

All assembled and crossing my fingers

So upon installing the spark plug wires they started to break one after the other after the other! So I bought these
    [IMG]

I also acquired some more things
    [IMG]

After installing all the parts the car wouldn't turn over, I automatically assume that it was a timing issue so after trying to get everything squared away I do like we all of done number 1 Top Dead Ctr. and then turn the point to the number one cylinder well I will say this never use a screwdriver to figure that out!

Okay this vid shows the car running but evidently as you could see the car trying to twist that it was stuck in reverse or any other gear and then..... BOOM!!!
