George, Adam I was thinking the same thing on needing some nice rally wheels. Those hubcaps just look to plain.
Adam, Next time you find a car in Quincy, MA let me know and I'll check it out... Probly from my front porch! Small world!
I'll keep you in mind, Paul:grin: I had posted a thread calling all Massholes for some help looking at a car, and a few guys jumped on pretty quick. Johnno ended up going to look at it for me. He had good reviews for the car, so I made an offer to the seller, and he accepted:beer:beer
The car runs well, now. It would die if I punched it no matter where I was. I found out that the tension spring on the secondary air flap was totally unwrapped. I tightened it up again, did a timing/dwell check, and drove it like I stole it. It doesn't miss a beat, now. The timing was retarded to 0* when I checked it, and the dwell was a little low at 28. I brought them both back up and the car woke up in a hurry. It's not a 455, but it is smoother than the convertible. I still can't believe the original shocks feel so firm! It rides like a new car compared to the convertible. I would imagine some of that has to do with the fact that the convertibles are naturally sloppy. The paint is starting to bother me....I'll try to let that slide for a while, though.
The sedan should feel a lot tighter. The convertible has nothing but a frame balancing 2 1/2 tons. I have to admit, the Centurion convertible handles incredible for its size. The sedans are really sweet. Enjoy the car! Wish I could have one for a daily driver.
Good fishing Adam :beer I observed you cautiously avoided to show pics of the back...may be because of the absence of the trunk mouldings ?...
I've been sending reminder PM's to thealchemist12 (Milt) every week now for a couple months.... He has them for me, but is either avoiding my contacts, or doesn't want to sell them! It would look nice with moldings! They all do:grin:
No, no, no - Centurions aren't supposed to have all of that flashy chrome on them (that's why they don't have ventiports, etc) the LeSabre's are! Adam, the sooner you realize that the sooner you can send me those 'incorrect' trim pieces off your 'vert...I promise I'll take good care of them! :Brow:
Now you see it.. Now you don't.. I had to get rid of the wonderful "touchup" job done with a paintbrush and some rustoleum. The marks were all over the right side of the car...these are only two spots out of 6.
