I Have not seen anything about a 71 front bumper.

At this point, the only bumper available is the 70 front.

I knew this was going to start happening when they quit selling the magazines that used to occupy the top rack at the Stop N Go.

Without those shepherds I could never get through a work week.

Todd, what is up with these bumpers? It seems as though the entire community is mum? Are they junk, do they not really have a repro, just a re-chrome of a core, they're still available in the catalog? Nobody is talking about them at all! I need a bumper before Bowling Green!

There's been some talk about them but I think the jury is still out.

They are a reproduction, not a rechromed core. Because of there size I wont be stocking them.

I've heard some guys say they're ok and other guys not so impressed.

I haven't seen one in person so I really can't add much more.

I'll say this for The Parts Place, when they hit the 70-72 Monte Carlo rear bumper hit about 8 years ago. I bought three and they were REALLY good. When they did the rear strip on the 71 SS454 Montes, they nailed it. The inner fenders, same deal.

These things should be pretty good. I'm half temped to throw a repop on just for newer chrome. The bumpers on my 70 are straight and rust free. Won't know what I got until I rub on them

    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

I just installed one of the repops I bought on ebay around Christmas time. I had some ebay bucks, ebay coupon and free shipping so it was only a little over $400. Probably made at the same place i assume...I have an original that needs rechroming but thought I would give this a shot. It looks better than i thought. However it was slightly bent when it arrived probably due to shipping so it took some maneuvering to get it where it needs to be.. it is a little thinner metal than the original and suspect the chrome won't last as long.... but overall happy for my driver and not too shabby.

Thanks Todd, I'm trying to get the Lark ready for BG and I just don't like the glass bumpers on it. I might take the plunge.....
