Pete, just to answer some of your questions, the large chrome parts that were sent to Sandy's Bumper Mart will run just bit over 4k, the rest of the trim will be done by us, Paul, Buffer Boy and myself. The painting, fabrication and installation of metal panels, and all small items will run near 6-7k :eek2:
Louie that's pretty good actually. Taking into consideration most people with a decent job could replace that money in 11 weeks considering no children/mortgage/wife. Impressive
Well, Almost there, the right fender and doors have been wet sanded and polished, the rear quarters and trunk have been wet sanded with 800 and 1200 so far, just need to be done with 1500 & 2000. Then just the driver's side doors and fender need to be done once Paul gets the feeling back in his arms :ball:
Louie, Enough of the tease with the QMIII just get it done and show us.... hell we could mate her with the SGM and have lil kittys....
LOL, Sarge, The funny thing is that Paul sands for a day and is out of commission for 2, unable to lift his arms :spank:
It's time to start dressing the Queen Mary III with chrome and stainless trim. Will picking up the bumpers up next week, can't wait to see how they came out.
Did the NYPD show up to give the dog a loitering citation? :bla: The Wildcat's looking great! Keep it up! I'm sure you'll be thrilled to get it finished. David
David, that was sector car that stopped at my show sunday at Fordham University, did you take a close look at this Police car? ou:
Is that a .......Nissan Altima??? ugh! Car looks great Louie (the Cat that is). Im waiting for a pic of that beauty in the sun light.
Jason, you are correct, but what makes even worse, it's a HYBRID. it doesn't even go when the gas pedal is stepped on, have to wait for the green light to indicate that it is ready ou: ou:
Jason, The white one belongs to Kenny B from Yonkers, I don't think John's X has seen daylight, more like a Vampire X :TU:
Yesterday I met with the interior guy, we took measurements for the headliner, sail panels, sun visors and rear package tray. Going to have him do them all in red to match the interior. :beers2:
Sunday was the Captial Area Car Show at Lebanon Valley Dragway, I cruised up in the 1969 GS350 and entered her in the show. Then I walked around to look and photograph some the cars in the show, only one other Buick in the show, 62 Invicta contvertible, green on green, very nice car. Lenny Williams was running his car down the track @ 10:98 constantly :3gears: Steven LaRue of BJ fame was there enjoying the car show and his Buds. He was taken by the color of the GS and did comment on the rarity of the spring color :kodak: Many thanks to all the Buick Members that I saw at LVD and inquired about the progress of the Queen Mary III
Had a new headliner installed in the GN and the Queen Mary III, I went with a nice red to match the interior. :TU:
