Vette boys are probably out having their nails done, so I'll answer this easy one. Cobras were not a production car. See the rules for details. :bglasses:

 

what makes them not a production car? They were produced and qualified as a production car in the 1960's. Sounds like some corvette lovers were writing the rules to me.

 

Actually the rules were written by a couple of Pontiac guys!!
To paraphrase the rules, the car must have come off the regular production assembly line. "Specialty" cars such as the Cobra, S/S Hemi Dart-'Cuda, aluminum front end Mopars are considered as such. Even though the NHRA and various road race organizations recogized them as "production", the PSMCDR does not. Their house, their rules. I'm kinda glad they don't. It helps maintain the ~charm~ of the cars and the event. :bglasses: :bglasses:

Humm, I suppose I do need to work on my karma....ok! alot.

But when it turns and karma smiles on me, I have room in the shop for a Black Sting Ray, 4 speed, blood red leather interior, any motor, and matching saddle buckle black boots. I have always wanted one. Dare say, I would even move a Buick out to make room.

Also Broadway Joe is an absolute hero of mine. Consider it a compliment. In the day, I bet you that "no ordinary Joe", had a Corvette.

 

That is simply not true. Every Corvette owner I know changes his Brylcreem once, sometimes twice a week.
