Now that Spring is here, we are all looking forward to cruisin, racing and wrenching on our cars. Thought perhaps reviving this thread may make for fun reading ...

Visited Buickrat yesterday, got some answers to a few questions I had about my car. Always a good time catching up with friends.
This morning, I was chasing a short in my courtesy lights, got that fixed. Next gutta fix a bad ground on my Trans temp guage, and figure out why my Tach isn't lighting up when I turn my lights on. Be on the road soon, sooner if a moneytree sprouts on the property. Need windshield, front rubber, and a few other odds and ends.

Glad to see this thread start again....doing a few little things under the Riviera this morning. Didn't come with seat belts from the factory so I pulled the interior and installed some. Fabbing up some floor supports where they are mounted now as it's just a hole in the floor with a bolt and washer. Also going to get my '62 Terry out of my side lot and get going on finishing the restoration on that. That's my PLANS. Supposed to go to lunch with some like minded buddies and to a spring party/bonfire later at a friend's, so I'm betting I'm "done" working by noon. I'll come back Monday and post how far I got.....

About to do a little touch up paint on the fender panel about the driver's side fender. Will also be "whitening" the BFG lettering on the tires.
Just washed, waxed, cleaned the windows on my GS. Car is ready for the 1st car show of the season on May 26 in Chatham On.
    Maybe wash my Colorado.

Yard work, then oil changes for the daily drivers along with whatever other maintenance items I find. My chemo regimen got changed to something more aggressive, and I figured this was the last, or nearly the last, weekend that I’ll feel up to doing anything at all. I’m trying to figure a way to get the ‘Cat out of the garage. It’s not good on it or me to watch it just sitting there, and I haven’t even started it since I started chemo several months ago.

Pulled the fuse block off the green car to get to a baked terminal. Also rewired the connection that I'm pretty certain caused said terminal baking. Tightened up an underhood fuel hose connection that I discovered leaking while troubleshooting said terminal bake on the side of the road the other day. Installed a new ignition switch in the dune buggy along with a starter button, and pumped out the 20 year old gas that was in the tank. It smelled lovely! Not Buick related, put together a bouncy saucer thingy for the kiddo and went and got my wig busted cause I was looking shaggy.

Yesterday was outside starting around 8am. Had 5 old A/C units that needed to be recovered and then hauled around back to the pile. Once that was done there was a pile of cardboard boxes needing to be hauled to the recycling place. While out picked up 10 gals of lawn mower gas. As I was coming into the neighborhood a young guy stopped me and asked if I could help him change doughnuts on his chevy truck, Sure, why not. helped him with that while changing the idler and tensioner pulleys on the F250 / 7.3. It was getting around 5 pm. made dinner of grilled chicken, mashed taters and buttered corn. Ate, cleaned up kitchen then went out and jumped on the mower for the last 2.5 hours of daylight.

I wanna be young like you Steve!!!

Pounded in a bunch of steel-T fence posts, graded the 700' of dirt road on my right of way and took the wifey to pick up bedroom furniture she bought for our daughter.
Gotta make a second line of fencing to keep others off my grass easement. People don't want to get their cars dusty driving on dirt roads apparently and want to use our grass easements. Had a couple of people stop and raise a stink about it.

Buy a house 1-2 miles off a paved road and don't want to get dust on your car?

    Ayuh, you sure do!
No car stuff for me this weekend, just household projects. Building a dog door into our pool enclosure and found that the hinges that I ordered online won't work. Will head for the ripoff hardware store for hinges that will. Building two "creepers" that will hold two POS plastic planters that my bride bought; had to spend about two hours beefing up he way-too-thin plastic Chinese planters so that they will actually hold dirt. Replaced the propane regulator on our one-year-old Weber grille (for the second time). The ancient Coleman grille that we had in Massachusetts was still on it's original after more then 20 years (probably closer to 30). I just love the quality of modern-day stuff. I plan to pull one piece of metal interior trim out of the Buchev for painting, I'll probably yank one piece of plastic trim as well. The paint that I originally used just wasn't up to snuff, I do confess that I did a quickie job originally and part of the problem was me. Do it right, or do it over...

First vacation week of the year and I’ve been getting the boat cleaned up for some flats fishing this coming week. Just me and my son. He starts his first job out of college in early June so a father-son trip is in order. Looking forward to some beer and seafood.

I drove the Roadmaster two counties east to a cruise in.
We were there about an hour, some of us eating at the host hamburger joint.
A storm cloud popped up .
It dumped a bunch of hail , but before it did , I had the Roadmaster across the the street. Under the cover of a canopy at gas station.
The hail was pea sized , it didn't hurt the Buick.
I hope it didn't damage any of those thinner skinned cars

I am still recovering from touring China. China is 12 hours ahead of the U. S. east coast time zone. The jet lag is tough.

I will post some very interesting vehicle pics once we get those sorted. I think my spouse took about 5000 shots.

I got the seat belts and supports completely mounted in, rear package tray mounted, and the interior of the camper measured and material ordered. Rest of the weekend was spent road tripping enjoying the weather. Little disappointed in myself, but still progress haha.

I did actually get to work on my Buick this weekend in addition to yard work and "Honey Do's". I replaced my new SS gas line that would not seal with a regular steel line that sealed the first time. And I discovered why my GS was running like crap and would not idle - a bad condenser, just like I thought. I replaced the condenser with a known good one from my old distributor and now my car is running great again.

Today John Lipori's car ate 10 gallons of methanol and a good charge of the good stuff. This was the first time since about 1971 that the car ran.
We will post a new thread in the bench and yes there is video
