O.K., Guys....no laughing please. But, its been 20 years since I've had to pull a Buick carb. I'm working on my '71 350 quadrajet. I've removed the various vac. hoses, and am about ready to pull the four carb mounting bolts. However, I've forgotten the specifics of removing the throttle cable from the ball on the carb throttle bellcrank. I'm pointing to this area with a blue pen in the photo.

Something in the back of my mind says the socket in end of the throttle cable simply pops off the ball, with a little gentle prying from a screwdriver. Am I correct on this? If not, please help! (I dislike breaking stuff!.) Thanks, much. John

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply, Andy. I felt a bit silly asking....but I wanted to find out for sure, rather than wreck something. It was good of you to help. John
