So I was ready to swap out my occassioally gringing other mini starter to Tom's in my Henry J. I saw a small round female connector coming off the main feed to the motor. What is this for and should I remove it or seal it? I'm running just two red leads and the purple currently.
hjsonnie, That would be for the yellow wire if you are using one. It is a one way diode. Most likely you are not. It's protected BUT you can seal it if it makes you feel better. Tom T.

Yeah yeah. Time gets away from us from time to time. Now that I have young kids again. But recent events have found me some spare time for my hobbies.(thank god) It feels good to be turning some wrenches. Any ways, the starter is a bit quieter and no more rubbing/grinding at the flex plate during hard acceleration. No shimming either, like it was made for it!! Thanks, Tom
